APPEA is the peak national body representing the oil and gas exploration, development and production industry in Australia. Its member companies produce over 98 per cent of Australia’s oil and gas production and are responsible for around $200 billion worth of new gas projects currently under construction.

Adam is a Senior Policy Adviser based in APPEA’s Perth office. Adam oversees a number of APPEA’s key policy areas with a focus on the Northern Territory, Western Australia and domestic energy market reforms.
Adam joined APPEA in 2010, managing APPEA’s production, exploration and trade statistical analysis and providing policy advice for APPEA’s activities in Western Australia. Adam’s role has since included  regulatory engagement in broad areas covering security, environment, taxation, safety reforms and greenhouse gas.
Prior to joining APPEA, Adam spent several years in the WA state government, with a focus on energy supply security and national energy market reform. Adam holds a Master of Science (Energy Economics) and a Master of Business Administration from Curtin University Graduate School of Business, a Bachelor of Business from Edith Cowan University and is completing a Graduate Diploma in Energy & Resources Law at the University of Western Australia.
