A Celebration of Excellence – NT Seafood Council
Tonight ten awards were presented to industry leaders and achievers within the Northern Territory seafood industry at the Developing the North – 2017 NT Seafood Industry Awards.
‘The NT Seafood industry has much to celebrate and tonight we celebrated the passion, dedication and leadership of the many people who work hard to bring seafood and seafood products to the plates and homes of consumers,’ said Northern Territory Seafood Council
Chief Executive Officer, Ms Katherine Winchester.
‘With great delight we saw industry leader and NT Seafood Council Board member Mr Chris Calogeras awarded the Industry Ambassador Award.’ Ms Winchester said.
‘After over 30 years of dedicated service to the seafood industry, Chris is widely respected and admired for his leadership and contribution to the industry.’ Ms Winchester went on to say.
‘Pee Wees at the Point delighted us a special menu featuring Northern Territory seafood from start to end and a reminder of just how lucky we are in the Territory to have access to delicious seafood.” stated Ms Winchester.
Other awards categories were Seafood Business Awards, Primary Producer, Environment, Promotion, People Development, Restaurant and Take-Away Fish and Chips.
NT winners will now have the opportunity to be nominated for the Australian Seafood Industry Awards being held in Sydney on 28 September 2017.
